📝 Creating Your Investor Account

Welcome to ChainMove! This guide will walk you through the process of creating and setting up your investor account to start investing in vehicle financing opportunities.

Before You Begin​

Requirements​

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid government-issued ID
  • Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement)
  • Bank account or cryptocurrency wallet for funding
  • Email address and phone number

Accreditation Status​

ChainMove offers different investment opportunities based on your accreditation status:

Step 1: Sign Up​

  1. Visit ChainMove Investor Portal
  2. Click on "Sign Up as an Investor"
  3. Enter your email address and create a strong password
  4. Click "Continue"

Step 2: Verify Your Email​

  1. Check your email for a verification link from ChainMove
  2. Click the verification link to confirm your email address
  3. You'll be redirected to complete your investor profile

Step 3: Complete Your Profile​

Personal Information​

  1. Full legal name (must match your ID)
  2. Date of birth
  3. Phone number
  4. Residential address

Investor Profile​

  1. Investment experience level
  2. Annual income range
  3. Net worth (excluding primary residence)
  4. Investment objectives
  5. Risk tolerance

Identity Verification​

  1. Upload a clear photo of your government-issued ID:
    • Driver's license
    • Passport
    • National ID card
  2. Take a selfie for identity verification
  3. Complete the liveness check

Step 4: Set Up Funding Methods​

Bank Transfer (ACH)​

  1. Link your bank account
  2. Verify micro-deposits (takes 1-2 business days)
  3. Set as default funding source

Cryptocurrency Wallet​

  1. Connect your Web3 wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.)
  2. Verify wallet ownership
  3. Set preferred networks (Ethereum, Polygon, etc.)

Wire Transfer​

  1. Request wire instructions
  2. Initiate transfer from your bank
  3. Notify ChainMove of incoming wire

Step 5: Complete Investor Accreditation (If Applicable)​

If you wish to invest as an accredited investor:

  1. Complete the accreditation questionnaire
  2. Provide supporting documentation:
    • Recent tax returns
    • Bank/brokerage statements
    • Letter from a licensed professional
  3. Sign the accreditation statement
  4. Wait for verification (typically 1-3 business days)

Step 6: Start Investing​

Once your account is approved:

  1. Browse available investment opportunities
  2. Review vehicle details and risk assessments
  3. Select your investment amount
  4. Review and confirm your investment
  5. Track performance in your dashboard

Verification Delays​

  • Ensure all documents are clear and legible
  • Check that information matches your official documents
  • Contact support if verification takes more than 3 business days

Funding Problems​

  • Verify bank account details
  • Check for minimum deposit requirements
  • Ensure sufficient funds are available
  • Contact your bank if transfers are blocked

Account Access​

  • Use the "Forgot Password" feature if locked out
  • Contact support if you can't access your email
